Privacy Policy
Draft — pending legal review. This draft describes how the app actually handles data. Final text, including retention periods, will be confirmed by our lawyer under the Individual Privacy Act, 2075. Nepali version to follow.
Saadhan (“we”) runs the Saadhan app, which connects riders with independent drivers in Nepal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect

Who sees what
- The other person on your trip sees your name, photo, rating and, from matching until the trip ends, your phone number. Riders also see the driver's vehicle and live location.
- Anyone you send a trip link to sees the driver's name, vehicle and live location until the trip ends.
- Service providers process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Aakash SMS (login codes), Google Firebase (notifications and crash reports), and our own server in Germany for maps and routes (receives coordinates only, not your identity).
- We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
Payments
Riders pay drivers directly in cash or through the driver's own wallet QR. Saadhan does not handle money or card details.
How long we keep data
- Detailed trip routes: 90 days, then deleted.
- Login-code logs: 7 days.
- Driver documents: while you drive with us and for a limited period after you leave (to be confirmed).
- Trip records: kept for legal and accounting reasons; anonymised when you delete your account.
Your choices
- Edit your name and language in the app.
- Turn off location access in your phone settings (you won't be able to book or drive).
- Delete your account at any time from the app.
